Endodontics is the area of dentistry that focuses on the pulp of the tooth and the surrounding tissues, and any applicable health issues within those areas. Most commonly, patients know endodontics within the context of a root canal.

A root canal is a procedure that is done when the pulp and tissues of the inner tooth are diseased and decayed. Dr. Bill numbs the area and removes the infected tissues, and replaces them with a filler substance that both keeps the tooth intact and takes away the source of nerve pain.
